Target Market Determination

What’s a Target Market Determination?

The new Design Distribution and Obligations (DDO) came into effect on 5 October 2021.  Investors Central Limited is required to have a TMD that meets the requirements of the Treasury Laws Amendment (Design and Distribution Obligations and Product Intervention Powers) Act 2019 in respect to its public offer for investment in preference shares in Investors Central Limited under the Prospectus dated 3 November 2023 and publish the document on its website.

A Target Market Determination (TMD) is a document which describes a group of retail clients for whom a financial product is likely to be appropriate (target market) and the conditions around how the product can be distributed to retail clients in the target market.

The TMD also describes the events or circumstances where we may need to review the TMD to ensure that we are taking a consumer-centric approach to the design and distribution of our product.
